People didn't learn their lesson from the first film?
I mean, I consider the first two movies as guilty pleasures, but they were terrible films. I want to say I'm astonished that people expected anything different here, because Michael Bay knows his audience for these films very well. He knows what he's doing, and he's doing it because it's obviously working. Those that don't ... *ahem* get him would do well to just look the other way.
While I've seen 2 & 3, both of which were garbage, I still love Sentinel Prime's double-cross in 3. Granted, pretty much everything with Sentinel Prime was awesome, partly for Connery's VA-work. "I will overlook your condescending tone if you heed the gravity of mine." ---
