I heard that shes as durable as superman but is weak to piercing damage.

But that makes no sense and is stupid.

She can handle a lot of force just fine if it's spread out like in a punch, but a lot of force condensed into a point (like from a bullet or a sword blade/tip) can still pierce her skin. It's like metal armor; a plate of metal can tank a mace hit, but a bullet might go through it still (albeit at a reduced speed).

Could a plate of metal tank a mace travelling at the speed of a bullet? >~>

Probably not, but you get my point. And if not, let's go with two weapons moving at the same speed: a mace and a pick. The pick has a point to concentrate all the force into a much smaller area, meaning that it would likely go through a plate of metal (like armor) while a mace with the same amount of force behind it would dent but not break or pierce the metal plate.

Your words make some sense but now I want them to revive mythbusters and test all this crazy stuff in a Wonder Woman special.

Cest la vie.
