This kind of reminds me when I got pulled into the counselor's office because I wrote a story for English class about performing a school shooting (this was like days after Columbine BTW). At the time I thought it was stupid because it was just a story, but now that I am older and more mature I realize that the school HAD to look into it because it was suspicious. Even if they thought I had no intention of actually doing it, they would rather be overly cautious then ignore it because the worst case scenario for ignoring it is far worse then the alternative.

I get the feeling Kathy Griffin never had that kind of experience as a kid if she thought that wouldn't blow up in her face. I mean yea you can make all the jokes you want about wanting to behead Trump, but adding a visual element to it is going to cause you a lot of grief.
