I would have thought the time to stop propping up the house of Saud would have been when we found out they bankrolled the 9/11 attacks but I guess we just couldn't embarass old friends of the Bush family. They'd been strongly and openly tied to the Wahhabi for almost 260 years before that, and Wahhabism is pretty much the core influence behind most of the fundamentalist and militant Islam in the Middle East.
