How do construction sites get away with so much wasted time? Sticking to rigid schedules actually can harm productivity. A lot of places that loosen up on those expectations see a rise in worker output. I agree rigid schedules are bad, but there is a difference between a rigid schedule and giving yourself an extra half hour paid break. --- I am awesome and so are you.
