Like December is juunigatsu (twelfth month), April is shigatsu (fourth month), etc. Well, I'll have you know, October, November, December made sense, and July and August used to be 5th and 6th month. Then, the Romans decided to assign the 50 odd "monthless" winter days after december as two months, January and Febuary.
