Makes sense to me.
I don't vote based on who would beat who; I vote on body of work thus far. If Resident Evil 4 and Yoshi's Island met up, I would expect Resident Evil 4 to win, probably more handily than it would against FFX. That doesn't change the fact that SMW2's body of work thus far is more impressive.
