'oh'

In that case sure, let's throw the setting another dude to anchor itself around. Comes with a big batch of plot hooks 'n stuff so you can iron things out and reject what doesn't fit.

Name: Reid Belcry.

Age: 15

Appearance: Reid is a very tall, gangly youth, towering over other people his age at six feet and four. He is nearly skeletally thin, as if his body had expanded vertically instead of horizontally, and drawn from the material destined to filling up his frame for that purpose. His hair falls down to his waist in disorderly fashion and is mildly spiky around his scalp, jutting upwards a bit. He has prominent cheeks and thin lips, but a short nose and a rounded chin. His nails are rather uneven and jagged, clearly having been broken at some point in time, at odds with the otherwise delicate, precise air of his hands, which move as though accustomed to dealing with fragile things. He is most often dressed in a nondescript black jumpsuit with matching work boots and often carries a backpack around when away from home. After his powers awaken, his eye color shifts from a normal white-brown-black, going from the outer sclera to the inner pupil, to black-black-white, giving his eyes a rather unnerving look.

Personality: Reid, like most other geniuses, has three key qualities: brilliance, determination and eccentricity.

Brilliance, because he is quite possibly the smartest person currently alive (or rather, one of the people with the highest potential to become the smartest human being alive), superhumanly boosted intellects notwithstanding, possessing a keen grasp of mathematics, as well as a level of understanding in excess of that provided by a college-level education on several branches of science and engineering. An endless creative energy seems to fuel him, and he can be frequently find mumbling to himself about designs ("so if we removed an engine and added three gyroscopes to increase the machine's balance, then maybe..."), or working on sketches and blueprints for his ideas. Confronted with a peer in one of his areas of interest, he will be all too glad to exchange notes, as he has had a sheltered childhood away from most human contact, and what few chances he has had to speak with other scholarly people have been mostly one-sided and limited to rigid formal instruction.

Determination, because Reid is tremendously committed to his projects. He is never one to truly shelve a design, instead working hard to change it, adapt it, or integrate it to an accepted idea, in an act of hidden defiance. Though he isn't one to be overt about it, Reid's insistence on doing things the way he wants to do them borders on being suicidal. He will follow other peoples' whims without question at times, but will absolutely not compromise when something he truly cares about is at risk.
