I'm just going to have to take your word on this, because this sounds silly to me.
It isn't. Blue hounds you the whole damn game. It's like having to fight a dramatic battle with Ken every two rounds on SFIV, and each round his EX moves cost less, he fights more smartly, and his ultra hits harder. It has a very strong impact, and the feeling you get when you win the final faceoff is priceless.
