Come to think of it, FE8 has Pontifex Mansel, who is an even better example since he -is- the leader of his religion. And country. And just look at that job title.


Yeah, now that you think about it, the Fire Emblem series has always been like this. Well, the earlier entries didn't really have a "pope-like" figure, and I guess the closest thing they had were the leaders of inherently evil religions (I believe FE4/5's Manfroy actually has the title "Archbishop", but he's trying to revive the dark god Loputousu so yeah, this isn't exactly a surprise that he's evil.)
