I haven't had much time with the Heavy yet, but he does seem very powerful. I've read other people complaining about how medics flock to the Heavy when Soldier/Demoman are better candidates for uber. Maybe that's true for the more experienced players, but where I'm at backing the Heavy always seems like the best option.
