Uhhh you have to dodge in KH2 too there's just not a button for it. Which actually makes it a more involved process not a less involved one. You have to run and jump to get out of the way of stuff, and instead of just invincibility framing your way out of it.
Honestly KH1's dodge roll makes God of War's roll seem vulnerable. (That's not a good thing for those keeping score at home)
