HD tvs have dropped quite a bit in price over the past 4 or 5 years. I got a 42 inch Panasonic (decent brand id say) 1080p, 120Hz TV for $500, and its probably even cheaper now.
I remember when I was looking at TVs like that back in the early-mid 2000s. They were something like $1500, and were not 120hz.
TV prices have definitely dropped.
