Dude..she didnt just pull and fire. She grabbed the taser, which she explained to the jury had a completely different feel and mechanism when removing, held it up in her hands for a few seconds, then fired. She had plenty of time to realize she had a real fuckin gun in her hand. If the situation is so stressful that all of that was ignored you shouldnt be a cop at all.

Racial bias is also a very important thing to discuss here. Her level of stress might have been higher due to his race. Its a sad reality that the usual suspects refuse to acknowledge in these situations. People of color arent given the benefit of the doubt or seen as innocent non-threats always. Its happened to me, its happened to millions, it continues to happen, but people for some reason wanna pretend it doesnt.

I agree she shouldn't be an officer and it's a really bad mistake to make. But after watching the video again, I think it was genuinely a mistake and I'm just not sure about the charges. The suspect was moving around, she was probably looking at him instead of what she had in front of her. It really did all happen so quickly.

I can't necessarily be up in arms about the verdict because the jury had all the evidence and came to their conclusion. But I also know the suspect shouldn't have been fighting them in the first place.
