Reporting is all over the place on Manchin's issues.

There was initial talk it was the Child Tax Credit that was the sticking point and that he wanted it gone, but apparently he refuted that to a reporter who asked him about it in a weirdly aggressive way (calling the reporter "bullshit"). Saw something I'm more inclined to believe that it's some climate subsidies that he wants reduced because from Day 1 I always knew climate would be the biggest problem with Manchin given he's basically a shill for fossil fuels. Then like a week or two ago the problem was inflation.

That said, for voting rights you'd need a carve out of the filibuster and while I've also seen a story that he's part of a moderate group discussing just that I find that to be the least believable thing of all.
