I wouldn't hold your breath. Sballen's comments following the reversion have very much been trying to paint detractors as being a vocal minority, as he always does (remember when he applauded the <1% of users that managed to hang onto throwback mode until the bitter end, conveniently leaving out that he'd made it progressively harder to maintain it until you practically had to manually turn it on twice a day or lose it forever?). His apparent position is very much one of "this is what you guys want, you just don't like change." I fully expect it to come back with some of the key functional issues resolved, but no real changes to the aesthetics of it, given his flippant disregard for people not liking how it looks.
