Probably not. Any schlub with a Lit or Liberal Arts degree can generally get that sort of job online. But even if they were, in this case they're not the ones "sampling peoples opinions and making interrelations from that data" anyway. They're essentially just summarizing a PR statement being put out by someone else, while doing zero research (or, you know, actual "journalism") of their own. It's about on-par with me saying I'm a accredited five-star chef, then getting McDonald's delivered, serving it to you on a plate, and telling you I made it and you're clearly the one at fault if you don't like it.
