I understand being fed up with flag worship and general apathy for your country's flag, regardless of the lofty ideals that enthusiastic patriots attach to it - usually because enthusiastic patriots are annoying as fuck.

But I would recommend checking out r/vexillology or something, because flags and the field of study relating to flags is actually pretty cool. There's also a shitpost subreddit because the snooty main subreddit got fed up with the meme posts getting way more attention than the other general vexillology posts.

Also, flag aspect ratios are interesting. Over 2 thirds of the world's flags are 2:3 or 1:2, with other flags having minor variations in length or height. But both Switzerland and the Vatican have 1:1 flags, being completely square, and the flag of Nepal is taller than it is long and has 2 triangles protruding from it.
