If you think you're an alcoholic, you probably are. Alcoholic isn't necessarily how much you drink, it's about knowing some part of you enjoys drinking perhaps a little more than you'd like. Functional alcoholic doesn't exist, it's another way your brain tricks you into drinking more. If you are an alcoholic, there's two choices you can make. You are either okay with it or you're not okay with it. You just need to figure out what works for you. Some people drink a ton and that's just what they do. Apparently a lot of construction workers drink a lot. Some people stay completely away from alcohol. For me, I just set limits on myself. Like, I'll only drink if I have nothing important I need to do the next day, limit my number, or determine I'm feeling nicely drunk and whatever I'm holding at the moment I'll decide is my last drink for the night.
