Now that people have been playing this game for several hours and doing NG+'s and doing all the sidequests, it's come to the public attention that there's a cap on how big your save file can get. And if it ever gets over 8GB in size, it will end up corrupted and unplayable.
That... honestly sounds a lot like my suspicions about what happened to me in Witcher 3 on PS4. My save just got unplayable. Well, not literally, but it would crash without fail after an increasingly short amount of time. I was still on a fresh NG though so maybe it was just something else or I imagine it would have been a bigger deal but save file/memory overflow size was, and remains, my suspicion tbqh.
