Which it isn't. Some managers do work hard. I don't want to go into management because I want to have a life outside of corporate work. But yes, there are some bad managers as well. I recently had a director who could talk a good talk, but when it came down to actually managing, all they knew how to do was ask why the work wasn't done yesterday and tell everyone to work harder.
