On any given year, something horrible is happening somewhere else but every nation is going to care more about the horrible things happening in its borders. ie, I was discussing REACTIONS to the tragedies -- and even then I was technically addressing Deerzord's commentary about those reactions as opposed to raising the point myself -- not the relative merits of the tragedies.
