IIRC some common seizure triggers (and conversely the things you would be looking for in QA as problematic) are things like a flash rate between 3 and 60 times a second, high contrast patterns, and lots of bright red.

I know the Game Informer writer who suffered a seizure playing Cyberpunk and wrote up the PSA to give a heads-up about where she experienced it and other areas she highlighted as potentially troublesome for others suffering from epilepsy so they would be forewarned when those parts came up mentioned that one particular instance in the game seemed almost identical to the actual device used to intentionally induce seizures for medical purposes to the point where she suspected it was either based on that device or a very spot-on coincidence.
