Actually video game prices should be going down not up, but whatever.

Especially for digital, which they are actually selling systems that can only play digital at this point. It's crazy the cost for them has gone up, not down.

I could see .....maybe........increasing the cost for hard copies to $70 and keeping digital at the same price.....that would make some kinda sense, but upping digital copies?

It's another reason console games are not gonna compete with PC games very well. You can wait a bit and get a pc game often on steam for 50% off (or wait longer for 75%), and pay 20$ or less for the same game you woulda paid $70 for on a console (Borderlands 3 for instance recently but basically most games released on consoles these days).

Even if the game isn't on pc (rare), there are usually a ton of other games like it there anyway.
