How old are you @wolfy42 ?

And have ya heard of the Keto diet?

50, and I basically lived the keto diet lol, especially now. I barely ever have carbs at all (I miss pizza). Before I moved this last time I would usually have a slice or two of pizza a month, because I love it so much, and rarely I'd make pasta, but I skip bread (lettuce for sandwiches/burgers etc), or corn tortillas in a pinch.

I do chicken alot, beef a decent amount, fish/shrimp, and veggies primarily (but hardly any potatoes even though I love them.

I do beans as well (chilli's), but yeah I avoid most carbs and forms of sugar.

I got diabetes about 7-8 years ago I guess, was about 240 at the time, and jumped up to 260 after taking Glyberide (right when I started teaching, I literally worked out 3-4 hours a day (2 of em water aerobics) to prep for teaching that summer), I didn't weight myself (I felt fitter mind you), until the end of summer and instead of losing weight, I gained 17 pounds.

When I moved to WA and my wife got sick and in the hospital I didn't eat well for almost a year (she was in there about 6 months) and gained another 10-20 (it fluxuates between them). Even working out etc, I've had the devil of a time trying to get rid of it since then. It's like my body hits platoes and won't go back under them or something.

Meanwhile my A1C seems to have more to do with the stress i'm in rather than the food i'm eating which is really freaking weird, and it's always high. Low of about 7.2 or so, but last time it was 10.5 or so. It's really bad, but hopefully it'll go down now that I've finished moving.
