| Hexenherz 08/27/20 11:19:12 AM #16: | Absolutely different approaches in government. In China, the government has absolute control over every aspect of a person's life. They saw the outbreak flaring up, they locked everything down - shut down inter-city transportation, airports, deployed police and military to keep people locked up in their apartment buildings, and used surveillance systems to warn / detain people who tried to wander outside without permission. In the US we got a president who says, "It's just the flu it'll be over in a couple months when it starts warming up" and who practically made it his mission to set up obstacles to states to get resources they needed to test and control the spread of it.
