They treat the employees like doormats since they know they can get away with it. They can fucking scream and swear at workers and receive an apology and complimentary food in return because managers don't want to deal with them. If the customers were more respectful, and they were paid more, then they might put more effort into it. Also if they had better looking uniforms. I hated wearing those stupid uniforms at McDonald's.
