Wish I had done it that way. I read dune the first time when I was around 5 years old, I made it through dune, but it was only meh to me at that point. I didn't make it through the second book though. Went back and read them all a few years later, enjoyed dune alot more (became one of my favorite books) but still wasn't a big fan of the second and I stopped midway through the third. Was in my teens before I read the rest of them, which get quite good again after the third book (or did for me).
