They are appealing to please open cuz they are down to their last 3 million in emergency funds then entirely bankrupt.Just did more research. The zoo was allowed to open on July 1, then Newsom ordered zoos (and other non-essential operations) 3 days to close, which fell in line with my housemate taking his kids to the Six Flags zoo yesterday, but everything being mandatory to being closed today. I looked and the Oakland Zoo was open yesterday, but not today. So I was right. I have a friend who worked at the Cincinnati zoo and got laid off at the start of this.
