I also worked construction one day with a friends brother, and afterwards he picked up his gf, who I thought was cute/hot....but then swung by an old gf's house and had her come try and seduce me. I totally did NOT dig her though and didn't even get out of the car. He probably thought I was gay after that (except he kinda knew I wasn't cause he totally started dating a chick I was into (another friends sister) but was taking my time getting to know.
