I feel like we need more earnest sports movies on the market today, something that awakens that primal passion in us - to make us want to see someone succeed. I don't get that reaction from the 2000's The Longest Yard, or Remember the Titans, or any of that. I don't get that urge from biopics, where they use a real person's story to inspire. For some reason, I get that feeling from a good Rocky movie. If Creed isn't around to tap that market, I feel like there really does need to be a series of sports movies to replace it.
