If she enjoys being around the guy despite his issues then yeah that whole mentality creeps in. This is less likely going to be the case for someone with no confidence and social skills. A whole lot of men fake their confidence with good social skills as well. These guys often do have women who try to fix them because it's something that perhaps only her and close friends/family know about.
