Can anyone walk someone who isnt a huge fan of baseball through it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Houston_Astros_sign_stealing_scandal They used cameras and other electronic equipment to "steal signs" from the opposing teams' catchers, so they essentially always knew what pitches the other team's pitcher was going to throw and had ways to quickly relay that information to the hitter at the plate. That is an absolutely massive advantage to their hitters, arguably an even bigger advantage than a player using steroids. Note that sign stealing itself isn't technically against MLB rules (like if a runner on second base sees a sign with their own two eyes, which usually leads to the pitcher/catcher changing the signs for a while) but the use of electronic equipment to steal signs is the line that the Astros crossed. --- ''Someday I too will fly... and find you again!'' https://imgur.com/yammmZo ...
