Im the biggest Tarantino fan around, and even I agree that the movie was not good. Its easily his worst film hes ever made (and by a LOT), and when Leo and Brad cant save it then you know its bad, because those two are generally really, really good.

Hollywood will tell you that they liked it because its an ode to their history, but thats not the reason. Hollywood is desperately trying to cover up and ignore the public knowing that theyre all pedo degenerates. Ricky Gervais didnt bitch slap that entire culture on a whim; he knows the public detests those people and would side with him. Check any comment section about it. You cant just ignore Harvey Weinstein, Roman Polansky, or Epstein anymore. I truly think the academy is propping up that movie because it makes Hollywood look good, not because the movie is actually good. It isnt good. I think most people would agree on that point.

But what better attempt than to prop up Weinsteins pal (Tarantino) making a movie that makes Roman Polansky look like a good dude instead of a child rapist piece of shit? And before you say Im just being ridiculous, go look at the list of movies to win best picture. Do you honestly think those movies from the past 15 years or so have won on merit? Its all back scratching with no care for what people actually thought was the best movie that year.

Speaking of, Endgame not even being nominated is just laughably stupid. I read somewhere that its the only #1 all time grossing movie other than Jurassic Park to not get nominated for Best Picture, though Jurassic Park still won a ton of awards. All the other movies to get that top spot were at least nominated for Best Picture, won it outright, and/or got nominated for a bunch of other awards. Endgame got the nod for one. Thats it. Think of how unbelievably stupid that is.

Its even more stupid when you consider Black Panther was nominated for it. Thats not a slight on Black Panther, either. It very much deserved to get nominated. We all know Endgame wouldnt have won Best Picture, but it should get the token nomination to celebrate its achievement at the box office. Hollywood constantly trying to pretend the MCU doesnt exist shows how out of touch they are with what people actually think, and its why people stopped giving a shit about the oscars. Why bother when it doesnt at all line up with how people actually feel?

tl;dr - I agree that the movie was trash and I feel Hollywood is propping it up for sinister reasons.

(Joker was the honest to goodness best movie in 2019.)
Black Panther didn't deserve the nod.
