Gonna do another deep dive into a poll because I think it has some interesting questions/results. Fox News poll (think it was last time I did this too.) Re: Impeachment/Remove, this is a different poll from the one I mentioned yesterday showing 50% support for Impeach+Remove.

Poll + Crosstabs: https://www.scribd.com/document/429534764/Fox-News-Poll-results-October-6-8-2019

Headliners (IMO)

The big one:

Impeachment + Removal: 51%
Impeachment + Not Remove: 4%
Should not be impeached: 40%

The last time they ran this (in July) it was 42-5-45.

WRT to the Trump/Ukraine phone call: 43% say it is an impeachable offense, 27% say inappropriate but not impeachable, and 17% say appropriate.

66% say it is not appropriate for Trump to ask leaders of foreign countries to investigate allegations against political rivals opposed to 25% who say it is appropriate.

48-45 think Congressional Dems are pursuing this because they believe it's impeachable rather than wanting to hurt him politically. By contrast, it's 32-55 for Congressional Republicans on them defending him because they think it's not an impeachable offense vs. wanting to protect him politically.

48% think Trump is "getting what he deserves" with regard to the impeachment inquiry vs. 37% who say it's people out to get him. (11% say some of both). For reference, for Bill Clinton it was 40-43-13.

On whether the Trump administration is more/less/about the same corrupt as previous administrations: 51% say more corrupt while 27% say less, and 18% about the same.

69% express some level of "troubling" over the Trump/Ukraine dealings as opposed to 26% who say not at all. (51% express they are "extremely" or "very" troubled)

55% think what's most important to Trump is doing what's best for himself opposed to 39% who think it's doing what's best for the country.

They polled the favorability/unfavorability of various groups/names. The most favorable was "The Democratic Party" at 49-47 for a +2. Coming in 2nd was a tie between Pelosi (42-48) and Schiff (27-33) both at a -6 (Democratic Party was the only entity with a positive net approval.)

They also polled confidence in a number of institutions. The news media is at 47-51 for -4 while Trump is at 43-56 for -13.

More Detailed Stuff:

For impeach+remove: 13% of Republicans polled believe he should be impeached and removed. 12% of Trump voters believe the same.

As for the impeach+remove stuff: Impeach+Not Remove has decreased each of the three times they ran this poll. (7 -> 5 -> 4) as has the "don't impeach" crowd at 48-> 45 -> 40.

The plurality reason given for not impeaching when that group was asked was "Trump did nothing wrong/don't see it as a problem" at 21%. "Witch hunt" comes close behind at 20%.

Back to the favorability/unfavorability of various groups/names. To reiterate, most favorable was "The Democratic Party" at 49-47 for a +2. 2nd was a tie between Pelosi (42-48) and Schiff (27-33) both at a -6 (Democratic Party was the only entity with a positive net approval.) Trump was -13 at 43-56, The Republican Party was -15 at 40-55. And for whatever reason Clinton was polled and she was at -13.

Of some note, this is the highest Pelosi's favorable number has been (42%) in the history of Fox's poll (going back to January 2007.)

As for confidence in the news media, this is actually trending positive in recent years. It reached its lowest point in this poll back in February of 2014 when it was 42-58 for a -16. It has climbed since though has not made it back to its early 2000s numbers in the poll. On the flip side, confidence in Trump has declined.
