Supposedly internet is going to change soon, and Stadia is just getting ahead of that a bit.

Should be wireless speeds for phones waaay faster then needed to stream games/movies etc soon, even when you drop down to 4g due to using too much (or too much demand).

This will allow streaming anywhere pretty much, and services like Stadia will take advantage of it. You will then be able to create much smaller (systems) to stream, and I think in a fairly short amount of time you will see things like glasses that can be used as a monitor (3d even), or something you wear on your head that projects in front of you (allowing you to adjust the size etc).

You could end up being able to play games anywhere you go pretty much, including in VR, and including MMO's. In addition to VR you can have ER (emergency!!) Enhanced reality, that actually uses the real world as a backdrop for games (Dungeons and dragons in real life with spells etc that you can actually cast, whole new kind of paint ball/lazer tags etc).

It's just a matter of time really. You can already stream games etc to a cell phone, so honestly it's just about creating a way to allow people view and interact with the games better on the run. Once the technology is readily available for everyone, we should see rapid advancement within a few year.

I believe this will also help boost VR significantly, allowing for better control methods, more immersive play and especially more MMO like experiences.

So yeah, things are going to go digital, but I think that is just the start, we may see TVs and monitors become mostly obsolete, only used for family/group watching etc as well.
