Then they should pay more for those positions. The Bay Area is one of the nicest, most exclusive areas in the country. Nobody is owed living there like it's some sort of fundamental right because they "like the vibe", and certainly not when the entire rest of the country still exists.

If you can't afford to live there, and you don't like the commute, then you have to find a job somewhere else or get used to the commute. That's true in any high rent area anywhere in the country. Manhattan. Boston. The Bay Area.


I don't understand what the point of this post is... If you're working you're not allowed to complain about rent? I live in Arkansas partially because rent is low, but it's a conscious tradeoff because my low pay here will certainly make wage negotiations harder if I ever move to a higher cost of living metro area.
