Well, first step is to find a job you actually wouldn't hate to do, hopefully that uses whatever degree you just got as well (though that isn't mandatory, find something you actually want to do).

As far as paying bills, you can work at night at a job while you volunteer in the field you actually want to do, until you can actually start getting paid for it.

As an example when I was 19 I worked graveyward at Carl's Jnr (actually really liked the job) while going to a vocational school (Valecetos CET) to get my electronic techs degree for 9 months. That wasn't volunteering but it's the same concept (only you generally don't volunteer full time lol).

First step though is figuring out what you want to do, that is more important then a good resume as you can flavor your resume towards whatever job/field you are applying for....so you kinda need that info first.
