People underestimate the possibility of Crono imo Like, Chrono Trigger is still an extremely beloved game and it's deeply tied to Nintendo - if you wanted to make people absolutely lose their shit over a character getting in then Crono's a really good choice, that would be buzzworthy. I seriously doubt a one-off third party character from 25 years ago will get in over someone either more relevant or more requested. Why not? Relevancy is a myth - people still love Chrono Trigger and the fan response would be stronger to Crono than to most of the characters listed so far Sora would be reasonably buzzworthy but I think he's too tied to Disney properties to be realistic. Are you gonna license Donald and Goofy to be in his final smash?
