People who were already inclined to bash him are going to continue to do so, people who were already inclined to defend him are going to continue to do so, and both sides are going to continue to assume that everyone on the other side is an idiot or an asshole. I think it has been the default state of American politics for the last 20 years at least, maybe more. The only difference now is that access to information about it is so readily available that no matter what you believe there will always be a news "source" to back you up. It has gotten to the point that I respect the people who don't vote more then the ones who do because I know at least they have more interesting things to do with their lives then worry about a bunch of politicians jacking each other off in D.C. --- I am a senior software engineer.
