But on that note just comparing sales numbers to sales numbers doesn't tell an accurate story anyway and feels more like someone trying to win an argument. For example I am the only one of my circle of friends that owns Marvel 3. Literally dozens of gamers have exposure to Marvel 3 entirely from that copy. Also PC gamers probably have the lowest overlap with Smash and that's where the majority of Undertale's sales are from. I mean yeah Undertal very well could have more presence among gamers than Marvel 3, but I'm not 100% convinced. Nor am I convinced it has more presence than Phoenix Wright series at this point. Both combined? Get outta here. And keep in mind I agree PW is likely below 70% recognizability on that poll, so even if it beats both combined it's like... by enough? --- No problem!
