| Topic | When a character is killed off a show what happens to their contract? |
| Zeus 06/20/18 6:53:36 PM #7: | Pretty sure nothing needs to happen to the contract unless they were promised a certain number of episodes, etc, and this cuts it short. In theory, it's no different than not using the actor again so the contract would remain until it expires. Granted, some shows might also have a termination clause in there in case the character gets killed off. I know from Harper's Island that the majority of the cast wasn't informed when they'd be dying ahead of time and were working on scripts episode to episode just to keep things quiet. The only two people who got told were a character who died in the first episode and another whose death represented a pivotal moment. Pretty good show, although I got to like the characters so the absurdly high body count started to get upsetting. --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ...
