Not all bad things are immoral.

For example, an earthquake that destroys your home is bad. I doubt many people would argue with that. It's not immoral though, is it?

How are you not understanding that?

Earthquake destroys home. Bad, right? As in not good. But it's neither moral nor immoral. Morality doesn't factor into it.

That's why bad shouldn't be used interchangably with immoral, because not all bad things are immoral.


By definition morality can't be applied to natural phenomena over which humanity has no control, so it's an awkward analogy.
