The US has federal subsidies on corn and iirc tariffs on foreign cane sugar. Given that HFCS is also less healthy than sugar (the extent to which is debatable and may also vary depending on consumption rates), it's government intervention which makes the country sicker (and, of course, gives us a worse-tasting product) --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ...
