There's ZERO reason to think a consular interview would end in deportation given the circumstances, and may I remind you ICE has likely already told him his only other option is eventual deportation. What do you think "try not to be deported" looks like? Because "do nothing for 9 years and how congress changes things" isn't "trying".

What would I do in his situation? I'd take the interview.


it's not about getting deported, dude

my options aren't bullshit, you have a far too rosy view of our immigration system

even if he was accepted he may need to wait up to 10 years because of the legal immigration 'line'

if he was deported, he'd probably NEVER be able to get in legally
