Three additional things that I feel that I need to point out (old post had two, but I forgot one that I mentioned last season)

1. Some positions are full of divas that once they reach a certain overall rating, they expect to start. If you are targeting a QB, HB, G, or C with a rating 82 or higher and aren't intending to start them, I highly recommend that you offer a two, possibly three, year deal at the max. That way, if they do ask for a trade during that contract, the risk . The downside to this is that you might lose out on the player due to superior deals, but I just wanted to give people word of caution because we've had A LOT of HBs demand trades over the years.

2. Free Agency is not just about users. Remember, we have 11 AI teams as well. The reason why I don't let people ask me questions to give them a competitive advantage is related to the AI teams more than anything. In consecutive offseasons, I have been asked what was the winning contract for X player in a previous offseason. I will not give out that info. The best you can do is study the team financial sheet and scan the contracts of user players to the best of your ability and if you keep a record of your own free agency offers through the years, you can use that as a baseline for players. You can also ask the contracts that your own players signed if that will help.

3. Free Agents covet money and need on a team the most. If you do not have a clear starting position available, you are far less likely to sign someone to a deal than a team that does clearly need them. There are exceptions (Abdul Hodge), but they are uncommon or even rare.
