American made stuff lasts forever.

F(ix)O(r)R(epair)D(aily) would like a word with you

Which I find funny because my grandfather has had 3 Ford trucks that I can remember, and all of them lasted 20 years with no major problems.

My friends Toyota needed a new frame 5 years after he bought it new.

Trucks are a different animal, as noted by the Hilux. If you use a workhorse to go to the shops, your vehicle is overengineered for the purpose.

While you would need a new frame on any car when you total it.

Who said anything about totaling a truck, I am just talking normal winter driving.
