No real idea, since apparently it's becoming a common practice these days. I had a former classmate who, after either dating or marrying a girl, wound up moving in with her and her parents (I think they finally got their own place later on). It reminded me of All In the Family, where Archie Bunker's daughter and meathead son-in-law were both living with him. That I considered kinda weird... although I probably would have considered the woman moving in with the guy's family less weird since that was a cultural norm in the west.

Speaking of cultural norms, apparently it's common practice in China for the parents to move into their married child's home. Imagine that puts a damper on any relationship.

Personally, I moved out in my mid-20s but that was mostly just to co-hab with my girlfriend at the time than any real necessity.
