Here we go. So the mods should shut down this kind of discussion? Me just saying we should be open-minded to people having concerns about things? what exactly is mod-worthy in here? I even said I have the booster and that I know that there is very likely no ties to the vaccine lol. Even saying the possibility should be mod-worthy? This is exactly my point about shutting down things in a way thats scary.

Its anti-vax rhetoric because I said we should investigate just in case? We should ALL want any possible effects of new medicine to be studied no matter whether its this vaccine or a new drug etc.

If we come out with that new cancer pill you don't think we should be following it closely to see what effects it causes and on what scale? this is basic science not rhetoric.

No, theres a belief these things are safe because the medical community ran clinical trials. New medicines come out every year. It is very unlikely that every medicine youve every taken has been around for decades. I bet you normally dont ask that question. And how is an annual booster scary compared with chow many people take medication daily?

I think this is a valid point. The only thing I can say is the difference would be how fast it was distributed (from 0 to EVERYBODY), how fast it would need to come out by necessity (It didn't reach us in its natural time frame, it HAD to come out as quickly as possible, and even if this is not a factor and the real reason is that they funded it and just re-focused on it its easy to see how it FEELS different to somebody). And I guess just that it's interacting with our body in a new way (which no matter what it is is a bit concerning)

I feel like if it wasn't for the politicization of covid, and this was just some random new thing, people would be a bit more curious and cautious. Now yes we are in an emergency situation and we had to take it as fast as we could, but I just don't like the idea that people who question it or are worried should be shut down because that isn't helpful and we should all have a healthy skepticism to these things.
