Speaking of, you'll see a very sharp contrast between Pathfinder and Baldur's Gate 3, which is running the super simplified D&D 5e tabletop as a core to start from. With D&D 5e you don't have to worry about 100+ archetypes, some of which are simply inferior to other options and many of which simply are NOT worth the tradeoffs, or consider which bonuses stack, which also means not needing 5 buffs stacked on your party before a fight, nor are there multiple layers in which offensive spells can be nullified.

One nice benefit to the Pathfinder video games is that they let you customize a lot of aspects of the difficulty. So you can cut off some annoying aspects and implement things that feel fair and challenging.
